Just when it was really getting entertaining, the spammers have changed their tactics again, and I've no longer been receiving good names in email. What they are doing now, it seems, is making only slight modifications - I've received emails from names along the lines of "John P. Smith" and "John Q. Smith" in the same day.
What is really interesting is that my spam filters only seem to be catching about half of these, so Q will get through, while P is tagged as spam. So in part, at least, this tactic is working for them.
But it's not nearly as entertaining.
